Mischa Barton

Barton was a part of theater in film, television and theater. Her nationality is American British. At the Lincoln Center in New York City Barton made her theatrical debut in Tony Kushner's Slavs! James Lapine's Twelve Dreams was her first performance. The actress made her acting debut in 1996 when she made a guest appearance in the American serial opera All My Children, and she voiced characters in the Nickelodeon animated show KaBlam! The show aired in 1996 through 1997. Her debut role as an actor came in Lawn Dogs, a drama that starred Sam Rockwell. Her notable films include M. Night Shyamalan's suspense crime thriller The Sixth Sense (1998) as well as the romantic comedy Notting Hill (1998). She also acted in the 1999 crime drama that was an independent project called Pups. After that, Barton acted as Evan Rachel Wood's friend on ABC's Once and Again (2001) and in the indie drama Lost and Delirious (2001). She played Marissa Cooper in the 2003-2006 season of the Fox show The O.C., for which she was awarded two Teen Choice Awards. Barton became well-known because to her role, and Entertainment Weekly named her the year's "It Girl" in 2003. Barton was a part of the cast since 2003 in the comedy St. Trinian's, the drama Closing the Ring directed by Richard Attenborough and the drama Closing the Ring.
