Patina Miller

Patina Patina PatinaMiller was the principal actor in Stephen's famed 1973 musical "Pippin" in Broadway. Diane Paulus won the Tony Award in the 67th Annual Tony Awards for Best Revival of a Musical. "Pippin", a musical starring Matthew James Thomas with Andrea Martin, Terrence Man, Matthew James Thomas as well and directed by Diane Paulus. Patina gave her unique contemporary version of the award-winning Ben Vereen's role and did a great job at mastering the Fosse movements that were so important to the show. The performance of Patina earned her an Tony Award in the category of Outstanding Actress in a Leading Role Musical. The Outer Critics Circle Award was also given to her for Outstanding Actress. In December 2012 through Jan. 2013, she performed as The Leading Player of American Repertory Theater's production of Pippin. Miller made her Broadway debut in the 2011 Broadway season as the gutsy nightclub-singer-turned-nun "Deloris Van Cartier" in the stage adaptation of "Sister Act", which earned her first Tony nomination, as well as Drama Desk, Drama League, and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations for her performance.
