Sadie Amara Calvano, an American actress who is most well-known for her role as Violet Plunkett on the CBS sitcom "Mom" and has earned a lot of fame. Calvano is from California and initially was intrigued by competitive gymnastics. She later decided to pursue an acting career. On CBS's show "NCIS" her debut came in the year 2010. In the crime drama biographical movie J Edgar, she made her first appearance on the big screen a couple of months after. Through the seasons, she was able to establish herself among the top young actors working today. In 2011, she was nominated for a Young Artist Award in the category of Outstanding Performance for Young Actresses between 11 and 15 for her work on NCIS. In 2013, her performance as a guest on Disney XD's comedy "Kickin It' was nominated again for an award called a Young Artist Award. Calvano was an integral part of the cast of the show's initial three seasons, and also appeared in several episodes of Season 4. Her performance in 'Mom" was recognized with the Gracie Allen Award as Outstanding Female Actor - Rising Star.
